CHENNAI AIRPORT TO GET NEW TERMINAL

The Union Cabinet reportedly approved a major infrastructure project in Chennai which is among three other projects in India - new terminal buildings for Guwahati, Chennai and Lucknow airports. The total amount for the three projects is estimated to cost over Rs 5,000 crore.

The Minister of Civil Aviation, Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday took to his Twitter account to announce the construction of a new terminal building at the airport in Chennai at a cost of Rs 2467 crore. "The Chennai airport long needed a significant capacity addition," he said in a tweet.
