“Don’t rob ex-husbands”: Madras High Court

While passing orders for a man who filed a petition to reconsider the alimony amount that he was paying to his wife, the justice Teekaa Raman in the Madras HC reportedly said, “The family court shall not allow the wife to rob husband till the last penny”. While pronouncing the judgment he set aside the maintenance order in section 125 of CrPC.
