Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi, the 69th Shankaracharya (head) of the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham, died on Wednesday of ill health, say reports. The 82-year-old reportedly suffered a difficulty in breathing and was admitted to a private hospital near the mutt. However, he died on Wednesday without responding to the treatment, reports added.
