According to reports, Vetrivel with allegience to TTV Dhinakaran, who released the video footage of J Jayalalithaa in Apollo hospital said that the rebel leader TTV Dhinakaran and his aunt VK Sasikala who is serving imprisonment in Bengaluru Parampara Agrahara prison, told him not to release the video. He allegedly gave the above statement after question surfaced on whether this release of the video was an attempt to gain votes in the RK Nagar by-election.
