A rowdy died as he jumped from the third floor in an attempt to escape police in Tiruvottiyur, say reports. Police launched a hunt after receiving a tip-off that Mohanraj, Jothi Basu, Rasayya - who have many criminal cases against them - were hiding in a housing board residence in Tiruvottiyur. The three came to know about police’s hunt and ran to escape. Mohanraj and Rasayya jumped from the third floor of a building to get down using the branches of a tree. However, Mohanraj slipped and fell down to death. While Rasayya has been admitted to hospital with serious injuries, police are on the hunt for Jothi Basu, reports added.
