Most awaited locations in Chennai likely to get metro services

Following a petition by a Chitlapakkam resident, the Centre has directed the state government to consider the extension of metro rail services from Chennai airport to Tambaram in the CMRL phase-2 project. Reports say, the petition sought an extension to areas including Pallavaram, Chrompet, Chitlapakkam, Pammal, Sanatorium, Hastinapuraram and Tambaram.
