A 54-year-old woman suspected of stealing gold from a house in Kalpakkam was reportedly detained by police and she later died while in police custody. Reports say, the woman working as domestic help was suspected of theft as she stopped working in the house just before the gold went missing. However, the woman complained of chest pain during interrogation and was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died on Monday. The reason for death is yet to be ascertained and the matter is being investigated.
