Police protection for popular celebrity

National-award winning lyricist Vairamuthu recently found himself in the eye of the storm over his comment on Aandal. Thanthi TV reports that members of Vishwa Hindu Parishad gheraoed his house in Besant Nagar. Police have been deployed for security and arrested some of the protestors.
