A Tamil Nadu Mercantile Bank ATM in Sekkadu near Avadi in Chennai reportedly dispensed burnt Rs 500 note on Thursday evening. According to reports, a man named Arun withdrew Rs 1,000 - two Rs 500 notes - from the ATM with one of the notes having burns. The bank manager showed negligence when Arun approached him with a burnt note, say reports.
