In the past seven years, delivery via c-section has reportedly doubled in government and private hospitals. According to media reports, every two of five women admitted in government hospitals, give birth through c-section and every alternate birth in private hospitals is c-section. What was once called a life-saving surgery has now become the most common procedure for delivery, reported Times of India.
