ANNA UNIVERSITY POSTPONES EXAMS BETWEEN MAY 25 AND 28

According to reports, Anna University has postponed exams that were to happen from May 25 to May 28. The postponed exams will take place from June 5 to June 7. However, exams from May 29 will reportedly take place as scheduled.
It was also announced that the deadline for applying for reevaluation for class 10 students from Thoothukudi, Kanyakumari and Tirunelveli has been postponed.
Even though no particular reason for the postponement was given, it is most likely due to the Thoothukudi shooting. Protests against Sterlite copper smelters in Thoothukudi turned violent on the 100th day. Police opened gunfire against the protestors, killing 13.
