Stalin arrested for protesting against Thoothukudi shooting

Following the DMK cadres’s protest near the Secretariat in Chennai condemning the police firing in Thoothukudi which has killed at least 13 people so far, the DMK working president MK Stalin was arrested along with other DMK, Congress MLAs.

A large number of cadres, who had gathered near the Secretariat in Rajaji Salai, began the roadblock even as the party working president MK Stalin held a dharna protest in front of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s room in the Secretariat earlier today. Vehicles going towards the direction of the Secretariat were reportedly stopped.

Reportedly, Congress MLAs have also joined the protest. They raised slogans against the Tamil Nadu government for the mass shooting in Thoothukudi. DMK party men have blocked the van in which the DMK working president MK Stalin was seated.
