A day after reports emerged that girl students of a government school in Tiruvallur were allegedly forced to clean the toilets in the school, the Tamil Nadu School Education department has come up with a strict order. Sanitary workers should be involved in cleaning school campus, classes and toilets, the department reportedly said. It also added that schools have to use daily wage workers in the absence of sanitary workers. It also strictly warned that schools should not involve students in cleaning toilets, reports added.
