After Madras High Court declared their protest as illegal, thousands of nurses have agreed to end their three-day strike. Health Minister C Vijayabaskar said that a recommendation to ensure nurses get paid at least Rs 15,000 will be looked into and added that they can also apply for government jobs when vacancies arise. The nurses have been demanding eight-hour work shifts, better pay and facilities.
