15 MEN DETAINED IN RUSSIAN WOMAN SEXUAL ASSAULT CASE

According to reports, police have arrested around 15 men on Wednesday in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a Russian woman in Thiruvannamalai on Monday. The woman was found in an unconscious state at a guest house in the temple town, where she was staying.

She was admitted to the Government Medical College Hospital in the town, where she was visited by visa verification officer of the Russian consulate Denish. Also, around 10 Russian nationals met the victim at the hospital.

According to police, the woman was found unconscious at a guest house, where she had been staying during her tour to the district, on Monday. She had sustained injuries and was admitted to the hospital, the police added. On Tuesday, six men were detained on suspicious grounds and are being inquired.
