Indian-origin player to captain Australia in World Cup

Indian-origin cricketer Jason Jaskirat Sangha has been named the captain of the Australian Under-19 cricket team for the upcoming ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. Sangha will be the first cricketer of an Indian-origin to lead an Australian team. Sangha’s father was a native of Bhatinda in Punjab, and was a state-level athlete who then moved to Australia.
