Bharti Airtel’s chairman Sunil Mittal reportedly revealed that there was a time when he was in a deep financial crisis for the want of Rs 5,000. Describing his financial situation at around 1980’s, he said, "It was a regular event back then that we had no money in the bank for cheques.” Further, he narrated the story of how he approached Brijmohan Lall Munjal to write him a cheque for Rs 5,000.
