Dhananjaya de Silva to not take part in WI tour due to dad\'s murder

According to reports, Sri Lankan cricketer Dhanajayan de Silva will not be taking part in the upcoming West Indies tour due to his father's murder. Reportedly, Ranjan de Silva (62) a local politician, was shot by an unidentified gunman on Thursday.

 

Sri Lankan Cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala reportedly said, "We are extremely shocked, perturbed and saddened by the great loss suffered by Dhananjaya and his family."

 

SLC is yet to announce on who will be replacing de Silva.
