BCCI clarifies Kohli will not be playing for Surrey due to neck injury

Reports went around on Thursday morning that Indian cricketer Virat Kohli has been diagnosed with a disc slip. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) dismissed the reports and claimed that he is only suffering from a neck sprain due to match with Rajasthan Royals.

BCCI announced that Kohli will not be playing for Surrey ahead of the upcoming UK tour. Kohli will reportedly be taking up a fitness test on June 15.

A BCCI official reportedly said, "Yes, Virat has had fatigue issues and this is a case of workload management rather than injury management. But it isn't a case of slip disc. As of now, we will be monitoring his workload."
