13-year-old gets pregnant after being raped by uncle

A 13-year-old girl in West Bengal is five months pregnant after her uncle raped her on multiple occasions. A case has been registered under Sections 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the girl’s uncle, his wife and a doctor for being mum even after knowing about the pregnancy during the early stages. Since the girl’s father passed away, her mother left her in the care of her aunt before seven months.
