GIRL GIVEN ELECTRIC SHOCKS, HELD CAPTIVE FOR DATING A MUSLIM

A girl belonging to Thrissur of Kerala going by the name Anjali Prakash has filed a complaint against her mother, VHP and RSS workers for allegedly holding her captive for 1.5 years and even going to the extent of giving her electric shocks for dating a Muslim man.
 

Reportedly, Prakash has alleged that she was given 10 tablets a day and injections to keep her unconscious during captivity.
 

The Guruvayur police have been instructed by a court to book the accused (14 persons) under sections pertaining to sexual abuse, harassment, kidnap, attempt to commit culpable homicide, promoting enmity between different religious groups amongst others.
