Earthquake strikes near the Indo - China border

At around 4 am on Saturday, an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter Scale hit South-Eastern Tibet. The tremors were felt in many places in India like Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Assam.  A few hours later, it was followed by another quake of 5.0 intensity. No loss of life has been reported so far, however, there have been reports of property damage and power outages in some of the affected areas.
