Centre allocates Rs 1,200 cr for this major policy

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, during the Union Budget presentation for the financial year 2018-19, announced National Health Protection Scheme. Reports suggest that the scheme is the world’s largest government-funded universal healthcare programme. Centre will allocate Rs 1,200 crore for National Health Policy, while Rs 600 crore corpus will be set up to help TB patients.
