AIR INDIA FLIGHT MADE TO RETURN AFTER TAKEOFF AS PILOT SKIPPED BREATH TEST

In a shocking incident, an Air India flight was made to return after it was found that the co-pilot skipped his breath test. The AI 332 from Delhi to Bangkok had to return back after 30 minutes into ascent as the co-pilot missed his breath test.

Reportedly, the flight was supposed to take off at 1.45 pm on Sunday but took off after a 30-minute delay and then returned back with no announcement of return. The passengers were left stranded for more than five hours as the pilots left the cockpit and the crew was not aware of what was going on.

Another flight, AI 111 from Delhi to London was delayed for over an hour on Sunday after it was found that senior pilot Arvind Kathpalia failed his breath test for alcohol. He was deemed unfit to fly. Kathpalia was grounded as this was the second time he failed the breath test.
