Latest reports from Hollywood suggest that director Steven Spielberg is all set to take the plunge and direct a superhero movie. It is said that he has decided to direct DC’s Blackhawk and that it is to be produced by Amblin Entertainment along with Warner Bros.

It will be the first film by Spielberg featuring characters from the DC universe. His recent film Ready Player One is currently running successfully in theatres and has grossed around $476 million worldwide. Talking about collaborating with the legendary director to Hollywood media, chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Toby Emmerich has said, “We are so proud to be the studio behind Steven Spielberg’s latest hit, and are thrilled to be working with him again on this new action adventure. We can’t wait to see what new ground he will break in introducing ‘Blackhawk’ to movie audiences worldwide.”
