Sivakarthikeyan's Velaikkaran, also starring Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Sneha, Prakash Raj, and others, in Mohan Raja's direction, is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (December 22), among high expectations.

Interestingly, the film has not had a trailer release, and the makers just had one teaser release and a few television 15-seconds television promos. While looking back at the recent history in Tamil cinema, Vijay's Mersal was one of those few films, which had no trailer, but gained buzz, just through the teaser, promos, and songs.

For highly anticipated films like this, it is actually good to have no trailers, since it might evoke the audience to predict the story of the film, and it might also force the makers to reveal some interesting shots.

Interesting promotional strategy indeed.
