Politician-actor Seeman was reportedly one of the main agitators during the Cauvery Issue related protests against the IPL match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders yesterday, April 11, at Chepauk. Many members of his party, Naam Tamilar Katchi, were arrested along with Seeman by the police to remove them from the scene.

Now, according to reports, Seeman has been charged with various offences in a criminal case filed by the police, including attempt to murder under Section 307 of the IPC, and assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty under Section 353 of the same Act.
