We at Behindwoods have always looked at cinema as a step or two above mere entertainment. Beyond just dignified, comprehensive and ethical reporting, we took our passion and commitment towards Tamil cinema to the next level, with the Behindwoods Gold Medals and the Behindwoods Film Festival in 2014-mid. After the rousing reception to our inaugural twin events last year, we were all gunned up for more innovative ideas to present to our viewers. 

In our continued endeavors to present Tamil cinema in the best possible manner to our audience, the Behindwoods Film Festival entered its second year in an all-new avatar. Like last year, the ten best movies of the preceding year, 2014, were handpicked by our home-grown team of film experts in consultation with the best industry minds. These ten movies - Kaththi, Madras, Jigarthanda, Kochadaiiyaan, Pisaasu, Mundasupatti, Goli Soda, Vaayai Moodi Pesavum, Saivam and Velaiyilla Pattathari, were screened at the state of the art Tagore Film Center in Chennai from the 23rd to the 25th of January 2015. These well-attended screenings were followed by a day-long interactive workshop on January 26th at the Lady Andal Auditorium Chennai, featuring the cast and crew of these ten films and an enthusiastic audience who were all too thrilled at this unique opportunity to interact with some of the best minds in the business. The cast & crew of these ten movies were honored with the Behindwoods Film Festival Awards by respected senior members of film fraternity. After this, the word 'workshop' will never again be associated with non-happening activities on academics, personality development and so on and so forth.
