Anand Shankar, the director of the next Vikram Prabhu starrer, Arima Nambi, happens to be from the A.R.Murugadoss camp. He spoke recently about the virtues of the blockbuster director and what he has learnt from his master.

"Sir is so dedicated to work and we don't know when he actually sleeps or wakes up. Even if the shoots end at say 1 am in the morning, he will be at the spot at sharp 7 in the morning. He will visualize a scene not just as a director but also from a normal cinema fan's perspective. He is never diverted and is always focused on his work. He never believes in the dictum that failure is the stepping stone to success"

Anand feels lucky to have received such mentoring and says that even now if feels down or tired, he thinks of his master and immediately springs back to action.
