Kollywood, it is an established trend
that fans perform abishegam to their beloved
star’s cut out on the first day
of the release of a film. It is their
way of expressing love and devotion to
their favourite star. Some fans even resort
to throwing coins or flowers in the introductory
scene. In a country where the reach of
films and film stars is said to be very
profound, these kinds of reactions are
