Vathiyar,
the Arjun starrer is getting ready for
Diwali release. This news is definitely
a great one for Arjun fans, as there is
a long gap between his last release and
this one. Mallika Kapur is being paired
with Arjun in this film.
Like
his other films, this film too deals
with a corrupt politician who on his
mission to become the Chief Minister
of state gets involved in a lot of
anti social activities. Arjun the
caring and stern teacher counters
each and every move of the sinisterly
politician using his brain and brawn
power.
This film is directed by Venkatesh
who is known for the importance that
he gives to stunt scenes. Going by
those lines, this film is speckled
with a lot of thrilling scenes. One
such scene was shot recently in Sriperumbudur
involving almost 2000 people in a
Vinayaka Chaturthi procession.
During
such procession, when the idols are getting
ready to be immersed in the sea, the politician
threatens about a bomb being implanted
somewhere in the procession and challenges
Arjun to diffuse the same. As expected,
Arjun finds out the bomb and diffuses
it saving the public simultaneously. According
to the director this scene was shot at
the cost of twenty five lakhs.
