Vadivelu’s star status is definitely
on the raise after the astonishing
success Imsai Arasan reaped at the
box office. His next project in the
lead is shaping up and if rumors are
anything to go by, then do not be
surprised, the sultry Bollywood actress
Shilpa Shetty has been approached
to cast opposite him. Did she say
yes? Well, that is everyone’s
question these days.
Vadivelu
seems to have decided upon his next
project – the remake of the
1950s hit comedy Rambayin Kadhal.
The movie narrates the story of an
ordinary individual falling in love
with Ramba – the danseuse in
Lord Indira’s court.
The
story is being reworked on by Thambi Ramayya
– who scripted Imsai Arasan and is in
Vadivelu’s good books – to cater
to the taste of today’s audiences.
Ramba,
the legendary dancer is said to
be one of the three beautiful ladies
in the entire universe. While devas
– the godly kings –
die to get hold of her, she falls
in love with an ordinary human being
in the movie. To substantiate the
beauty of Ramba on screen, the director
seems to have approached Shilpa
Shetty. However, he has other choices
too just in case -- Urmila Matondkar
and Isha Koppikar. Well, with whom
will Vadivelu get lucky? Cross your
fingers for the updates. Whatever
the outcome, we will have quite
a treat.
Musician duo Sabesh–Murali, art director
Krishnamoorthy, and cinematographer Arthur
Wilson will continue to be associated with
Rambayin Kadhal after Imsai.
