The present scenario in Tamil film industry does not accede to any director getting the green signal from popular heroes to feature in their projects. They have numerous reasons lined up in their kitty to refuse or stall a project. Either they are busy in a current project or committed to some other films or
their call sheet is completely full for at least few years. Previously actors were spotted in a couple of projects simultaneously. But times have changed now and they are willing to hop on to one film only after they complete their ongoing venture. Even in the event of a script being liked by the heroes, they are not able to involve themselves due to their busy schedule. Hence directors have started eying the eligible offspring of popular heroes.
The curiosity that is generally aroused with the introduction of a star-son or a daughter and the decent opening it generates have an impact on the collections. The recent example for this trend is Paruthi veeran. As per the industry talks, the distinguished director Mani Ratnam has reportedly sought permission from Karthik to introduce his son in his film. Speculations are also rife about Radha's daughter being tried by various directors to cast her in their films.
