Actresses contesting elections and joining the
political fraternity is nothing new to the Indian
milieu. From Vyjayanthimala Bali, Jayapradha,
Hemamalini to Roja, the fairer lot has always
added an element of grace to the corridors of
power. And now, with the assembly elections
just around the corner, it was Khushboo’s
turn to try her hand, which however, proved
unlucky. Khushoo said that she wasn’t
disappointed and also squashed rumours that
she is expected to be a contestor of a young
politician favoring a particular party.
