Comedy actor, Karnas a.k.a. Lodukkku Pandi,
took time off while shooting for Mudhal Kanavae,
and spoke to press persons. In a freewheeling
interview, he spoke of his decision to set up
a primary school in Maduravoyal, Chennai, exclusively
for underprivileged children. Drawing inspiration
from Buddha and the Tree of Enlightenment, the
school will be aptly called “Bodhi.”
Initially, the school will have classes from
pre-KG to Class Five. Karunas strongly believes
that education alone can raise the standards
of the downtrodden and has decided to offer
all his support to make “Bodhi”
a success. We congratulate Karunas on his noble
venture. May his tribe increase!
