mom hatches out a plan; Target: Jeyam

Simbu,
who in his short career has earned the reputation
of being a maverick, is again causing ripples. |

His
latest movie, Vallavan, is nearing
completion. We are sorry to keep
repeating this – but that
is Simbu’s way of doing things.
They are ad-hoc and to predict him
exactly is impossible. Sources indicate,
this is near completion now.
At this time, Simbu’s mother
met producer Kalpathi Agoram. She
is said to have convinced the man
who produced ‘Thiruttu Payele’
that he should make his next movie
with her son. Apparently, on the
condition of paying 1 crore in lump
sum, she said her son would give
him bulk dates.

Agoram had already obtained the dates from
Jeyam Ravi. He was all set to cast the upcoming
Ravi in his new venture that was to be directed
again by Susi Ganesan. Now with the entry
of Simbu, the producer was tempted to accommodate
Simbu in Susi’s movie. |

Thus edging out Jeyam Ravi.
However, people close to the producer
have warned him about Simbu and his
maverick ways. This, they said, was
not a good business venture as it
is risky to make a movie with a lead
who is as impulsive as Simbu. So,
the producer is still rethinking his
options – and nothing is clear
as yet. Wait and watch this space
