It
looks like the troubles for Shankar’s
home production Imsai Arasan is not
yet over. This Vadivelu starrer has
been banned in Karnataka. Earlier
the movie ran into trouble with the
Animal Welfare Board and it was with
the Chief Minister’s intervention
that it was released. Now showing
to packed houses in Tamil Nadu, the
movie was also released in Karnataka.
But then, the Kannadigas went up in
arms, protesting against the film,
saying that it hurt their sentiments
because it portrayed in bad light,
one of their great kings, Pulikesi.
