The producers association had decided that they
would not give clippings or songs to satellite
channels anymore. And anyone who broke the role
would be shown a red card and he would be on his
own. The distributors would not entertain him
any more. One man shown such a red card is Oscar
Ravichandran who gave clippings and songs of Dishum
to a well-known Tamil channel. The channel had
assured him that they themselves would distribute
all his movies in future across Tamil Nadu. The
producers’ association is now doing a rethink.
What if other producers went Oscar’s way
and wooed the rival channels and changed the distribution
methods. The distributors too are worried. |
