The Nadigar Sangam members, headed
by President Sarath Kumar and Secretary
Radha Ravi met the Tami Nadu Chief
Minister M Karunanidhi yesterday
(October 8th, 2009) to thank him
for heeding to their request and
arresting the journalist responsible
for publishing defamatory statement
against some actresses.
Sarath Kumar disclosed that the
Sangam had placed a request to the
CM to begin an Artistes’ Welfare
Association. Several actors and
actresses including Radhika Sarath
Kumar, Anju, Seetha, Nalini, Pasi
Sathya, Sri Priya, Sathyaraj, Suriya,
S.Ve. Sekar, Murali, Chinni Jayanth
and Vijayakumar were also present
during the meeting with the CM.
