Director Shankar must be laughing his way to the bank! Yes, there are reports that the television rights of Eeram, produced by his S Pictures, have been procured by Star Vijay for a whopping Rs. 1.5 crore.

The film, which is directed by debutant Arivazhagan stars Aadhi of Mirugam fame, has become an overnight hit. This led to the hike in its television rights price, sources say. A 1.5-crore deal for a movie made by a debutant is really amazing. After all, this proves Shankar’s faith in his directors.
