Silambarasan back to square one

The movie started off as Poda Podi, starring Silambarasan and Varalakshmi, daughter of Sarath Kumar. However, at some point the title was changed to the more dignified sounding Thiru Poda Thirumathi Podi. The reason behind this title change is not clear. But now, a second title change has been enforced and this time the reason is

very clear.The title has been reverted to the original Poda Podi itself, doing away with the Thiru and Thirumathi additions. The reason is fairly simple, the changed title was not that easy to be used in conversation.
Pronouncing the entire name of the movie was seen as a bit difficult and thus the decision was taken to go back to the original, more colloquial form which did not put any pressure on one’s verbal skills. The makers seem to believe that this will help the movie reach the masses better, without the salutatory additions. Silambarasan is at the moment fully involved in the finishing touches of Silambattam which is expected to be out in November.
