Poo, directed by Sasi, was acknowledged
as one of the best realistic films
of 2009. The new find Parvathi had
done an excellent job as a village
belle who was madly in love with
the hero but sacrificed her love
for his happiness. Her acting histrionics
impressed many critics and the audience
loved her realistic performance.
Post Poo, Parvathi was not seen
in Kollywood horizon. When the reasons
were probed, she states, “After
having done a meaty role in Poo,
I am looking for scripts that can
showcase my acting talent. Though
I got many offers, they were not
to my liking.” The actress
also said that she is not in a tearing
haste to accept offers right, left
and centre and is willing to wait
for the right one. Currently she
is doing a couple of projects in
Kannada.
