Here is an update on Ameer’s
Yogi release. It may be recalled
that producer Gnanavel Raja had
filed a petition in the High Court
of Madras to stay the release of
Yogi as there is still some unfinished
business with Paruthiveeran, which
was directed by Ameer. According
to the petitioner, Ameer was offered
the distribution rights of Paruthiveeran
and since the film was a huge success
the director owed him Rs. 1.55 cores.
The High Court has now issued a
notice to Ameer to file a counter
on the allegations made against
him.
