Veteran playback singer SP Balasubramaniam
was honored with the P Suseela award
yesterday (November 29th, 2009).
The event took place at the Santhome
High School Auditorium in Chennai.
The P Suseela award was instituted
last year to honor playback singers
for their outstanding contribution
to the cinema. Last year, the award
went to S Janaki.
Noted music director MS Viswanathan
and P Suseela handed over the award
and honored SPB with a silk shawl.
Suhasini Manirathnam compered the
event. Those present at the event
include TM Soundarrajan, PB Srinivas,
S Janaki, LR Easwari and Mano.
