AVM Rajeswari, wife of the late
A.V. Meiyappan, founder of AVM Studios
passed away on Sunday (9 November)
night. She was 86.
She is survived by four sons, AVM
Murugan, AVM Kumaran, AVM Saravanan,
AVM Balasubramaniam and one daughter
Meena Veerappan.
She was a highly revered figure in the society,
especially for her philanthropic activities,
not to mention the enormous amount of respect
that Tamil cinema's oldest production house
commanded.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi
visited the residence and paid his last
respects. Behindwoods joins the AVM family
and the film fraternity in mourning the
demise.
