Threat to Naan Kadavul
November 08, 2008
If Naan Kadavul is not released any time soon, there seems to be some serious competition lining up for the movie. The look and feel of the debutant Ravi starrer Saamida is just that of Naan Kadavul’s, more raw and intense in fact if not anything else. Ravi was the erstwhile assistant to accomplished cameraman Ravi Varman. Saamida

is directed by director Shaji Kailash’s assistant, Vadivudayan.

The flick’s shoots have been held in and around Kerala, Andhra, UP, Maharashtra, Pondy, and Ladak. Saamida focuses on the extremities of terrorism and religion. Trailer of the movie was released recently and four songs from the movie were screened. The movie is extensively shot in Varanasi and throws light on the life of the naked sanyasis – the subject Bala has reportedly explored in his Naan Kadavul.
