Charitra’s press meet was held at the
Taj Coromendal Hotel in Chennai today. Filmmaker
Ram Gopal Varma, Suriya and others were present
at the venue to let the media persons know what
RC is all about. It is worth mentioning here
that RC is a trilingual film that will be made
in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
Recalling his association with Ram Gopal Varma,
Suriya said that the filmmaker SMSed him soon
after the release of Kaakka Kaakka, lauding
his performance. Following this, Suriya said
that he had also messaged his marriage invite
to RGV and was surprised to find him at the
marriage venue on time to wish him and Jyothika.
The actor also disclosed that RGV sends him
prints of all his new films so that he could
view it with his family and friends.
RGV said that he was keen on casting Suriya
in a film that will have ample scope for acting
and was bidding for the right opportunity. He
added that Suriya is the only other actor to
possess powerful and expressive eyes, the first
being Amitabh Bachchan. On Suriya’s role
in RC, he said that he plays the role of Suri,
who is still alive and living in Andhra Pradesh.
Many have expressed that since RC is based on
a real life incident that happened in AP, it
may not strike a chord with the Tamil audience.
Reacting to this, RGV said that it is a film
that all Tamilians will like and associate with. |
