Jayanth and Lakshman’s debut
album Anbu Karangal was released
in the year 2008. The duo, under
the band name, Team Radiance, have
once again cut an album, Pudu Yugam
and produced it as well. The album
was launched at the Museum Theatre,
Egmore on July 12th. SPB Charan
presided over the function the lauded
the efforts of Jayanth and Lakshmanan.
The album comprises of eight songs
and has renditions by “Airtel
Super Singer 2008” Winner
Ajesh, Vijay Narain, Kedharnath,
Divya Vivek, Kaavya Mohan, and Srikanth.
Lyrics are by G. Kowshik, Subu Iyer,
Arul Mozhi Devan, and Seshasayee
Gopi.
They have teamed up with MaAtrutva,
a non-profit organization that works
for the upliftment of the poor.
The band has plans to donate the
proceeds from the album sale to
renovate the slum areas. They had
in fact donated the profits of their
first album to Anbu Karangal. |
