Kalaignar TV’s Isaiaruvi
Channel and Social Media jointly
presented the music awards for the
year 2008 at the Nehru Stadium in
Chennai. Yuvan Shankar Raja bagged
three awards for his remix songs.
Kamal Haasan was awarded for picturising
a song perfectly in Dasathavaram
and for his acting skills. Kamal’s
daughter Shruti Haasan was awarded
the best singer award for rendering
the song Adiye Kolladhe. Shruti
received both the awards. Belly
Raj took the award for the best
male singer category for Kangal
Irandaal in Subramaniapuram. The
film’s music director was
awarded the best music director
award.
Actor Silambarasan was adjudged
the best lyricist for penning the
song “Where is the party?”
Kathazha Kannale song in Anjaathe,
for which music was scored by Sundar
C Babu, won him the best music director
award (folk music). Harris Jeyaraj
was awarded the best music director
award for the love song, Anbe Anbe.
GV Prakash was selected for scoring
the music (light music) for Uyire
En Uyire.
The awards function was well attended
by many film personalities including
Prabhu, Sathyaraj, AVM Saravanan,
Gangai Amaren, Rama Narayanan and
TM Soundarrajan. |
