The inaugural function of Guru
Sishyan took place in Chennai recently.
Guru Sishyan has Sathyaraj and Sundar
C in lead roles. The event was unique
as some of the prominent gurus and
sishyans in the film industry participated
in it. Speaking at the function,
Sathyaraj requested the film’s
director, Shakthi Chidambaram, to
consider naming the central character
in Guru Sishyan in memory of Muthukumar
who laid down his life for the Sri
Lankan Tamils issue.
Ace directors and their erstwhile
assistants who are directors in
their own right now, shared their
experiences as guru and sishyans.
The Sun Pictures’ CEO Hansraj
Saxena said that Sun Pictures will
consider distributing the film if
it is made within the stipulated
